Website Audit Methodology
The Website Audit is a lightweight, informational review of one public page and selected supporting resources. It is not a Google ranking score or a substitute for a full technical audit.
How the score works
Each check receives full points when it passes, 60% for a warning, 80% for an informational result, and zero for a failure. Category scores are normalized to 100, then combined using the weights below.
SEO
25%Page title, description, headings, canonical, social metadata, and structured data.
Technical
25%HTTP response, robots.txt, sitemap availability, compression, and document size signals.
Security
20%HTTPS and a small baseline set of response security headers.
Performance
20%Initial response timing, compression, and HTML document size.
Accessibility
10%Language and viewport metadata, image alternative text, and link accessible names.
What it does not measure
- It does not crawl an entire website or monitor uptime over time.
- It does not run a real-user or lab browser performance trace.
- It does not assess business relevance, content quality, conversion rate, or search rankings.
- Results can vary with server load, network conditions, redirects, and the page returned at audit time.
